Nutrition is Critical for Weight Loss

If you're looking to lose weight, exercise is definitely an important factor, although nutrition is the key to success!  Exercise won't help you reach your goal if you haven't changed your eating habits.  Weight loss is, after all, about expending more calories than you take in. So if you burn 500 calories during your workout and then eat a McDonald's value meal, the exercise has lost value calorically. 

So what is good nutrition? Good nutrition is allowing your body to take in a wide variety of nutritional food each and every day.  Aim for plenty of fruit, veggies, complex carbohydrates, lean dairy and lean protein sources. Make sure and treat yourself every once and a while with a small helping of your favorite treat.
